Moore Concludes at U.S. Olympic Trials

EUGENE, Ore. – LaShaunte’a Moore’s Olympic Trials action came to end on Saturday, day seven of the U.S. Olympic Trials at Oregon’s Hayward Field.

Running her in her seventh race of the Olympic Trials, Moore fell just short of advancing to Sunday’s 200-meter finals, which would have been her eighth race of the trials. She clocked a 23.02 to finish fifth in her heat and 11th overall.

Earlier in the day, she ran a time of 22.72 in the 200-meter quarterfinals to automatically advance to the semifinals. She finished fifth overall in the field. She ran a prelim time of 23.17 on Friday to advance to Saturday’s rounds.

Moore competed in the 100-meter rounds earlier this week. She ran times of 11.12 in the prelims, 11.04 in the quarterfinals, 11.03 in the semifinals and 11.22 in the finals, good for an eighth-place finish.
