FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – On Wednesday afternoon the Razorback track program made an exciting addition to its team when it signed J-Mee Samuels during the early signing period. Samuels, a 5-9, 165-pound product of Mt. Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, N.C., is ranked by Track and Field News as the country’s best high school sprinter. Entering his senior season he boasts top times of 10.25 in the 100-meter dash and 20.58 in the 200-meter dash.
“He’s was the top sprinter in the country as a junior and he’s the top returner for this year,” Arkansas sprints and hurdles coach Lance Brauman said. “He’s the best kid we possibly could get and we’re definitely excited. With him we’ll be able to continue to build the best team and hopefully keep the ball rolling for the rest of the year.”
