FAYETTEVILLE – Sophomore Kesha Naylor has been named SEC Diver of the Week for her record-breaking performance against Florida on Thursday, Oct. 20, it was announced Tuesday.
Naylor set the Arkansas school and natatorium records in the three meter dive, achieving a score of 352.8. She won the three-meter competition by more than 48 points and broke her own school record of 348.6, set last season.
"I was extremely pleased with the way Kesha dove on three meter," diving coach Dale Schultz said. "That’s the way she’s been training and we have some pretty lofty expectations for her between the Canadian Nationals and the SEC and NCAA Championships."
The Saskatchewan, Canada, native also placed second in the one meter on Thursday with a score of 284.55. Naylor was an SEC All-Freshman Team selection last season and also placed at the Canadian Nationals over the summer.
The Razorbacks travel to Houston this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28-29 for the Rice Invitational.
