NCAA entries announced

FAYETTEVILLE – The NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Committee has released the accepted entries list for the 2010 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, at Fayetteville’s Randal Tyson Track Center, March 12-13.

Arkansas will be represented by six individuals in six individual events. Senior Dorian Ulrey will run the 3,000 meters, senior Scott MacPherson will run the 5,000 meters, freshman Caleb Cross will run the 60-meter hurdles, freshman Brede Raa Ellingsen will compete in the high jump, senior Alain Bailey, the NCAA leader, and sophomore Tarik Batchelor, No. 3 in the event, will compete in the long jump and Batchelor will also compete in the triple jump.

The Razorbacks will also run the distance medley relay. Arkansas’ DMR has the No. 9 time in the NCAA, 9:33.12.

"We are very excited for this meet and to compete on our home track and in front of our fans," men’s head coach Chris Bucknam said. "Fayetteville gave us great support at the SEC Championships and we’ll need that again this weekend. We have some guys in some events that can do some damage. NCAAs are the time to lay it all out there."

The NCAA Championships will be held Fri.-Sat., March 12-13, at Fayetteville’s Randal Tyson Track Center. ESPN360.com will stream the championships live beginning at 8 p.m. CST on Fri., March 12 and 6:10 p.m. CST on Sat., March 13.
