Scouting Arkansas
Graduate student Devin Cosper is coming off a 31-point performance leading three Razorbacks in double figures in Arkansas’ exhibition win. Cosper scored 16 points in the fourth quarter while Raven Northcross-Baker and Malica Monk were also in double figures.

Arkansas took 99 shots in the exhibition game and had just nine turnovers. Those numbers back up Coach Neighbors’ desire to play “functionally fast” – as fast as they can while still functioning at a high level.

Scouting Sam Houston State
Sam Houston State is coming off a 76-61 win over LSU-Alexandria in the Bearkats only warmup game before starting the season. Kira McKinney posted a game-high 20 points on 10-for-11 shooting in just 26 minutes of action. She was one of four Kats in double figures in the win.

Sam Houston State dominated the boards, 40-29, and forced 30 turnovers but committed 27 miscues themselves in the exhibition. Arkansas and SHSU also opened the season together last year at the Elementary Game. Arkansas forced 27 turnovers in a 71-39 win over the Bearkats.

Elementary Day Parking
ALL FANS attending Friday’s game should park in Lot 56 in the center section. No basketball parking pass will be required for that lot. Those parking in other lots are subject to ticketing and towing. Fans needing ADA parking will be allowed to park in the available ADA spots within Lot 56D and 62, accessible from Stadium Dr., and Lot 60 accessible from Razorback Rd. Leroy Pond St., directly in front of Bud Walton Arena, will be closed to through traffic during the pre and post-game time period while school buses are present.

Clear Bag Policy at Bud Walton Arena
The new clear bag policy will be in effect all season long in Bud Walton Arena to enhance public safety while minimizing time spent searching bags at gate security checkpoints. Each fan is permitted to bring in only one clear bag and/or a small clutch purse. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, know which items are prohibited and avoid bringing a bag, if at all possible. Click here to view the full clear bag policy.

The Series
• Series Record: Arkansas leads 2-0 (both exhibition games)
• In Fayetteville: 7-0
• In Huntsville: 0-0
• Neutral: 0-0
• Last 5: Arkansas W 5-0
• Mike Neighbors vs.: First meeting

An Arkansas Win Would …
An Arkansas win would run the Razorbacks’ record to 34-8 in season openers and 22-0 in home openers. A victory would be the first in the Mike Neighbors’ era at Arkansas and be the eighth overall against SHSU. If Arkansas wins, the Razorbacks will move to 8-1 all-time on Elementary Day including a perfect 7-0 mark at home.
