Razorbacks Introduce Never Yield Campaign
Engaging Students in Never Yield Campaign
FAYETTEVILLE – Razorback fans can show their support for the recently announced Never Yield campaign in a variety of interactive ways. Razorback fans are encouraged to use #NeverYield on all applicable social media platforms. The signature hash tag will be utilized by Razorback coaches, student-athletes and on the official social media accounts of the Arkansas Razorbacks including Twitter.com/ArkRazorbacks, Facebook.com/ArkansasRazorbacks and Instagram.com/ArkRazorbacks.
"Our fans are passionate about their Razorbacks and that is never more clear than when it comes to social media," Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long. "As part of this campaign, we want to channel that passion into making #Never Yield a cornerstone of our social media presence. We want to ask our fans to help us brand our program by the Never Yield philosophy our student-athletes, teams and fans have demonstrated for more than 100 years. Never Yield provides a modern way to strengthen and celebrate our tradition."
In conjunction, RazorVision will create a series of Never Yield videos to capture the spirit of Razorback fans, student-athletes, coaches and the uniqueness of the Razorback brand and its traditions. The inaugural video in the series is available at ArkansasRazorbacks.com and on youtube.com/ArkRazorbacks.
Never Yield originates from a signature line in the University of Arkansas’ fight song and captures the spirit and passion of Razorback student-athletes, coaches and fans. While it has always been a battle cry specific to the University of Arkansas, Never Yield will serve as a program wide motto to help raise the national profile of Razorback Athletics while bringing fans together in their support for the more than 460 student-athletes representing the University of Arkansas.
The Never Yield campaign also includes additional components including a fundraising initiative for a Student-Athlete Success Center, a basketball practice facility and a baseball and track indoor training facility and a student engagement initiative for University of Arkansas students.
