New Hogwired.com Site to Launch Sept. 7

Arkansas Razorback Athletics will unveil the newest and most innovative internet endeavor in the history of Hogwired.com when the collegiate website re-launches with a new provider, a brand new look and the “RazorZone.”

The University of Arkansas Men’s Athletic Department has partnered with Sanford, Fla.,-based XOS Technologies, which will create and host the latest version of The Official Website of Razorback Athletics. XOS Technologies (www.xostech.com) is the leading provider of sports technology solutions to professional and collegiate teams.

“We’re extremely excited about this opportunity to bring new and exciting features to Hogwired.com with the help of XOS Technologies,” said Kevin Trainor, Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information. “We expect the RazorZone to quickly become a popular destination to find exclusive, live and on-demand multimedia content about all eight Razorback men’s sports for Hog fans everywhere.”

XOS hosts websites for other top programs such as Duke, Kansas State, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon and Texas A&M.

The subscription-based portion of Hogwired.com, the RazorZone, features high-quality streaming video and audio from live and on-demand Razorback events throughout the year.

A sampling of the events that are available in the RazorZone include all radio broadcasts from the Arkansas Razorback Sports Network (ARSN), daily Razorback Reports, the Houston Nutt and Stan Heath TV Shows, Razorback Classics, men’s basketball game replays, selected live and taped baseball games, practice reports, video highlights from Olympic sports, live press conferences, special features and more.

“The RazorZone will add a new dimension to the online experience for Razorback fans,” said Matt Shanklin, Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing/Licensing. “Hogwired.com is a valuable communications tool for Razorback Athletics, and the ability to utilize high-quality streaming video as provided by this partnership with XOS is a great step forward in communicating with our fans while also providing a new level of entertainment.”

“We are delighted to have been selected by a university with as rich a sports tradition as Arkansas and look forward to serving them and their fans with the most engaging and interactive technology available in the sports world,” said Dan Aton, president and CEO of XOS. “We are confident that Arkansas fans will quickly embrace the live and on-demand content that will make following their team from afar more enjoyable and entertaining.”

Fans looking to join the RazorZone can either purchase a Premium Subscription to the RazorZone at $9.95 per month or purchase and annual subscription for just $99.95. The audio of Razorback Athletics events will be made free of charge to soldiers in the Armed Forces serving overseas. Live stats will also be available for free on Hogwired.com of all home football, basketball and baseball games.

This weekend, the radio broadcast of the Missouri State-Arkansas game will be free along with the live game stats. Beginning with the launch of the new Hogwired.com, the broadcast of the Vanderbilt-Arkansas game will require a subscription to RazorZone.
