FAYETTEVILLE — John McDonnell Field, home to Arkansas’ Track and Field, has a new look as a surface renovation was unveiled on Monday. The brand new 115,000 square foot surface is a Super-X Performance track manufactured by Mondo and stands as one of only four International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF) Class I certified track facilities in the United States. The crew worked quickly as the resurfacing began in early October and was completed on Sunday. The month-long process included removal of all surface areas, both competition and non-competition. The project gave the Razorbacks an opportunity to redesign their home facility, updating the look to a grey surface with red exchange lanes.
