Hamblin’s Streak Continues
Freshman Danny Hamblin has now reached base in 30 consecutive games after drawing a pair of walks in Tuesday’s game against ORU. Hamblin has reached base either by a hit, walk or HBP in each game since Feb. 29, against Texas A&M. Overall this season, Hamblin has reached in 34 of 37 games he has played this season.

Arkansas vs. Vols
Friday’s game marks the 30th meeting between the Razorbacks and Vols. Tennessee has won three straight and seven of the last 10 meetings in the series. Tennessee was the first league team the Razorbacks played when Arkansas joined the SEC in 1992, although it was non-conference game. The two teams met in the Seal College Baseball Classic tournament in Seattle, Wash., with Arkansas winning that game 1-0. The teams did not meet for a league series until the 1994 season. The Vols won two of three games in Fayetteville that year.

No Gimmie’s
The Razorbacks will have to earn things the hard way the last month of the season. Of Arkansas’ last five opponents, including Tennessee, all but one carry a top 20 RPI ranking. Tennessee is ranked 13th, one spot above the Hogs, in the latest RPI poll. Following the Tennessee series, Arkansas travels to Oxford to take on Ole Miss which is ranked 10th and then to Mississippi State which is 20th in the RPI’s. Arkansas closes out the season with a home series against Auburn. The Tigers are currently 18th in the RPI rankings. The only opponent not among the top 64 in RPI is Texas-Pan American.

Hogs Hit 30 Wins
Tuesday’s win against ORU gave the Razorbacks 30 wins for the third consecutive season. With six more wins the Hogs can eclipse their best win total since the 1999 team posted 42 wins. In addition, the Razorbacks have 13 SEC wins and need two more to reach 15. Arkansas has won 15 or more SEC games only three times since joining the league in 1992. The Razorbacks won 15 games in 1996 and 1997 and won 22 SEC games in 1999.
