No. 19 Arkansas Travels To Tennessee For SEC Showdown

AT A GLANCE
Riding a seven-game win streak for the third time in four years under head coach MIKE ANDERSON, No. 19/19 Arkansas will look to equal the program’s best start to SEC play on Tuesday at Tennessee in the first of two meetings this month between the two schools. Winners of four of their last six SEC road games dating back to last year, the Razorbacks have started SEC action 3-0 twice (1992-93, 97-98) in program history.
• Arkansas moved from No. 23 to No. 19 in Monday’s latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll and from No. 25 to No. 19 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
• One of 12 SEC teams in the ESPN RPI Top 100, Arkansas is No. 12 with a 5-1 mark against the top 100, including three wins over the top 35 (Dayton-16, at SMU-25, at Georgia-33).
• Sophomore BOBBY PORTIS (18.1) & junior MICHAEL QUALLS (15.8) are the top SEC scoring duo.
• Arkansas is one of four teams in the top 10 nationally in scoring (7th) and assists (5th).

Sophomore BOBBY PORTIS is the first player in program history to go for 30 points and 10 rebounds in an SEC game.

BUSY MONDAY
After leading the Razorbacks to a pair of wins in the opening week of SEC play with his first career back-to-back 20-point games, sophomore BOBBY PORTIS was named the CBS Sports National Player of the Week and the SEC Player of the Week. Portis averaged 26.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals during the wins at Georgia and at home against Vanderbilt. Though the SEC Player of the Week honor is the first for Portis, he did earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors three times last year, equaling Patrick Beverley’s program record.
