No. 19 Razorbacks Await NCAA Selection Show

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 19 Arkansas will learn its regional site location and matchup for the 2017 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship on Tuesday as part of the NCAA Women’s Tennis Selection Show. The live show is set to stream at 4:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.

Sixty-four teams will be selected to compete at one of 16 first and second round sites, each featuring four teams. First- and second-round competition is slated for May 12-14.

Arkansas (17-9, 7-6 SEC) is looking to earn its 15th all-time NCAA bid, including the ninth in the past 12 seasons.

Playing in the nation’s toughest conference, which boasts 11 teams in the top 25 of the national rankings, the Razorbacks have been featured in the top 20 in each of the last nine weeks. Arkansas was ranked as high as No. 14 in the country on April 18, which was its highest ranking since March 8, 2011.

The Razorbacks have defeated 11 teams in the current national team rankings, including No. 13 Auburn, No. 20 Texas A&M, No. 21 LSU and No. 22 Tennessee.

Selections for the NCAA singles and doubles championships will be released Wednesday at a time to be determined via NCAA.com press release.
