Preparing for the postseason through each meet, Arkansas will set out to divide and conquer several events this weekend in the Music City. Among the most loaded races, the 200-meter dash will feature five Razorbacks toeing the start line while eight Razorbacks, including NCAA top-five milers Therese Haiss and Nikki Hiltz, will be in the hunt for an exceptional performance in the 3,000.

Also ranked among the NCAA’s best in their event, Desiree Freier and Tori Weeks will headline the pole vault, sharing the runway with Carol Carmichael, formerly of Memphis, who enters with a lifetime PR of 4.50m/14-9.

“We’re super excited about the opportunity to come and compete at the SEC host university for this year’s indoor championship,” head coach Lance Harter said. “This meet is primarily for our technical event people but we’re at the point now where we’re starting to roll. Our distance crew is doing different events than they did last week, our sprint crew is continuing to gel and develop and our technical crew is off to a great start so we’re just looking to reaffirm that.”

Arkansas will begin action at 4 p.m. on Friday with the women’s high jump, which will see combined events specialist Taliyah Brooks in search of another strong showcase in the jumps following last week’s record-breaking long jump effort. Brooks will be joined in the event by Oregon transfer Ashlee Moore, making her debut for the Razorbacks, as well as resident high jumper Carmen Sitz.
