The competition will be the first for several Razorbacks whose indoor seasons ended in February with the Arkansas Qualifier and SEC Indoor Championships. Arkansas heads into the meet looking to develop its group of young student-athletes and lay down a foundation for its veterans to build off of.

Razorback combined-event athletes Lane Austell, Brad Culp and Derek Jacobus will headline the weekend, opening up the arduous decathlon competition on Friday afternoon at 12:10 p.m. with the 100-meter dash. Sophomore thrower Erich Sullins will also be in action on day one in the hammer throw at 3:30 p.m. Sullins owns the program records in both the hammer (outdoor) and weight (indoor) throw events.

The Arkansas Spring Invitational is the first of three home outdoor meets for head coach Chris Bucknam’s squad and will be followed by the highly-anticipated John McDonnell Invitational on April 21-22.
