No. 4 Arkansas Ready For Last Regular Season Bout

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The fourth-ranked Arkansas women’s track and field team will look to divide and conquer on Friday, May 5, with the distance crew set to compete in Stanford, California at the Payton Jordan Invitational while the sprints and jumps groups will be in action at the Arkansas Twilight at John McDonnell Field.

Events to Watch

1,500 Meters: Features middle distance duo Therese Haiss and Nikki Hiltz as two from a small group of elite collegians, taking on a field dominated by international professional athletes.

Teams making the trip to Northwest Arkansas this weekend include Arkansas Baptist, Oklahoma Christian, Oklahoma State, Rogers State, Southern Nazarene, Tulsa and UT Arlington.

Events to Watch

100/200 Meters: Features top Razorback sprinter Jada Baylark and All-American Kiara Parker both of whom are coming off impressive all-conditions personal best marks at the SEC Relays.

800 Meters: Features All-American Ceara Watson who has been a vital member of the team as an individual and as part of a relay since her freshman campaign. Watson currently sits at No. 8 on the SEC outdoor performance list.

4-x-100-Meter Relay: Features All-American team of Taliyah Brooks, Payton Stumbaugh, Daina Harper and Parker are in search of another record-breaking performance, hoping for quicker turnovers and smoother baton passes at this weekend’s meet.

Pole Vault: Features All-Americans Desiree Freier, Lexi Weeks and Tori Weeks, looking to take advantage of the better weather conditions and get some clearances over high bars on their home turf.

The meet will get underway at 4:30 p.m. CT with the Razorback pole vaulters. Running events will kick off at 6 p.m. CT with the men’s 4-x-100-meter relay.
