No. 4 Razorbacks Post Personal Bests At LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. – The fourth-ranked Arkansas men’s track and field team took on some of the best athletes from around the NCAA at the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge on Saturday afternoon.

The Razorbacks were able to collect several solid performances, including a few personal best marks, at Bernie Moore Stadium despite poor weather conditions.

Top Performances
Arkansas opened the day with a season’s best performance of 39.38 seconds in the 4-x-100-meter relay off the heels of Kenzo Cotton, Kemar Mowatt, Jarrion Lawson and Marqueze Washington.

Lawson (20.76w) and Josh Washington (20.95w) led the way in the sprints as two of the nine athletes under 21 seconds in the 200.

In the 400-meter dash, freshman Obi Igbokwe raced to a new outdoor personal best of 46.65 to place third in the event as the highest finishing Razorback.

Igbokwe was joined in the top eight by fellow underclassmen Jamarco Stephen (47.14) and Roy Ejiakuekwu (47.21) who finished seventh and eighth in the quarter-mile sprint.

Ohio State transfer Davon Anderson raced to a new personal best in the 110 hurdles of 13.88 crossing the finish line as the third-fastest performer of the day.
