FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas men’s track and field team will host the Arkansas Spring Invitational this weekend at John McDonnell Field. The meet will mark the first home outdoor meet of the season. Hammer throw will take place Friday evening at 5:30 p.m., with all other events taking place on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. The No. 1 Razorbacks welcome nine teams to John McDonnell field this weekend: Arkansas Baptist, Drake, Iowa, Iowa Central College, Missouri State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, South Dakota and Tulsa. The 4×800-meter relay team of Cale Wallace, Tomas Squella, Andrew Pisechko and Patrick Rono earned the first title of the outdoor season. Noah Kittelson won Friday’s high jump competition and the sprint medley quartet of Curtis Brown, Travis Southard, Eric Janise and Tomas Squella earned the third title of the meet. The Razorbacks also sent the distance crew to the Stanford Invitational this weekend, a USTFCCCA National Meet of the Week.
