FAYETTEVILLE — The No. 25 Arkansas Razorback soccer team will carry its unbeaten 6-0 to Logan, Utah, where it will square off another unbeaten in Utah State on Friday Sept. 13, to kick-off the team’s final non-conference weekend. Gametime is slated for 5 p.m. The exciting 6-0 start has included four shutouts and five different players scoring game-winners for the Razorbacks, who have trailed for a mere 14 minutes out of a possible 565. Arkansas was recognized for its program-best start earlier in the week when it garnered the No. 25 ranking in the NSCAA Poll and from TopDrawerSoccer.com.
"The team is really looking forward to getting on the road to play,” head coach Colby Hale said. “Utah State is a NCAA tournament team and we know they are very talented. It is because of that we will come in as the underdog, but that is a role that this team embraces and really thrives in."
Friday will mark the first-ever meeting between the two sides, as Utah State has produced a 2-0-1 record at home so far this season. The Aggies recently earned the No. 9 spot in the NSCAA Pacific Region Poll and have one common opponent with the Razorbacks. Utah State played to a 2-2 tie at home against Nebraska, while Arkansas defeated the Huskers, 2-1, in double-overtime in Fayetteville. Arkansas was also featured as the No. 3 team in the NSCAA South Region. The Razorbacks’ six wins are currently the most in the SEC. Arkansas concludes its road weekend at TCU on Sunday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. The match will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest (FSN).
