FAYETTEVILLE — With a handful of standout performances Sunday at the Payton Jordan Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., the distance crew for the No. 5 University of Arkansas women’s track and field team made its impact on the team’s Southeastern Conference event rankings. The Razorbacks picked up top-10 marks at 800 meters, 5,000 meters and in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. A complete list of the team’s top-10 event rankings is below.
The Razorbacks close out their regular season Friday with the Arkansas Twilight at John McDonnell Field. Field events are scheduled for an 11 a.m. (CT) start with running slated to begin at 6 p.m. The championship season begins May 9-12 with the SEC Championships in Columbia, Mo. Dating back to the 2011 SEC Outdoor meet, Arkansas has won six consecutive league competitions.
