FAYETTEVILLE — The No. 5 Arkansas men’s cross country team will travel to Joplin, Mo., to compete at the Missouri Southern Stampede on Saturday, Sept. 21. The race is set to begin at 9:45 a.m. The meet will feature two top-six programs with No. 6 Tulsa joining the pack alongside host Missouri Southern and Saint Mary. “I am pleased with where we are at right now,” head coach Chris Bucknam said. “Everyone did a really great job this summer by getting their work in and staying in great shape. By taking a week off of competition, we have really allowed ourselves to stay healthy and prepare for the rest of the season. We will have our secondary team this weekend, we have some guys that are developmental guys that need to get some more racing experience so that we can hold some of our top guys out and prepare for October and November.” The Razorbacks are coming to the meet after a week off of competition. In Arkansas season opener, junior Stanley Kebenei and senior Kemoy Campbell led the way for the meet and the Razorbacks, to help the team win a pair of dual meet victories. Kebenei was named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Runner of the Week for his efforts during the meet. For more information on Arkansas men’s cross country, follow @RazorbackTF on Twitter.
