FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas women’s track and field team is set to host the Arkansas Twilight meet Friday night at John McDonnell Field. While the sprinters and field athletes compete at home, the distance crew will travel to the Payton Jordan Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. This weekend is the final weekend of competition leading up to the Southeastern Conference Championships, May 15-18 in Lexington, Ky. Seven teams will join the No. 9 Razorbacks at John McDonnell Field on Friday: Louisiana Tech, Northwood, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma City University, Tulsa and UMKC. The one-day meet is scheduled to begin with field events at 11 a.m., with running events slated for a 6 p.m. start. Meet Notes Full Meet Schedule Flash Results Razorback Track & Field on Twitter Last weekend the No. 9 Razorbacks made a strong showing at the Drake Relays, earning an overall runner-up finish in the relays. The 4×400 quartet of Brianna Swinton, Daina Harper, Regine Williams and Chrishuna Williams crossed the finish line in 3:32.18, a strong second-place finish that ranks fourth in the SEC and sixth in the nation. Up at the Penn Relays, Sandi Morris won pole vault with a mark of 14-5.25, her third 14-foot clearance this season. It goes down as the second-best mark in the SEC this season with the top mark also belonging to Morris (14-7.25), as she stands as the only vaulter in the conference to clear 14 feet during the 2014 outdoor season.
