FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas plays host to No. 8 Tennessee in a Southeastern Conference game Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Razorbacks (13-7, 4-4) are coming off an 83-72 win over Mississippi State on Saturday and have won four of their last five. Tennessee (18-4, 5-3) routed Vanderbilt, 72-50, at home Saturday.

“There’s no question they are very talented. They have everybody back. We’re disappointed to be where we are (in the SEC) at this point in the season and that’s probably the way they feel even though they are having a great season. This is a top 10 team. They have so many weapons and they are awfully talented. We’ll have our work cut out for us. We better over-achieve in this one. They can shut down one of our guys and it’s a different game, but they have so many weapons we don’t know who to try to shut down. They are big and more physical than we are. We have to play a good game, and I think we’re capable of doing that. I’m sure, in their game plan, they will want to limit (Jannero) Pargo’s shots and not let him touch the ball as much. Hopefully, some other guys will step up and hit some layups and jump shots.”

The Mississippi State game:

“I started the big lineup (Joe Johnson, Dionisio Gomez, Larry Satchell, Carl Baker, Pargo) because I felt like Pargo would get more shots. Gomez and Baker will set picks and get rebounds that other guards can’t do. We didn’t do a good job in our halfcourt defense, but when we re-grouped, we stopped that and took control of the game. We’re going to try it again. I liked what I saw, not so much the defense, but with Larry, Gomez, Baker and T.J. (Cleveland) on the floor setting picks.”
