Nott gets big win

Tulsa, Okla. – In the first round of the main draw of the ITA All-American tournament, 41st-ranked Chris Nott from the University of Arkansas fell to Jaime Pulgar of N.C. State, 7-5, 6-1. After the defeat, Nott bounced back with a 5-7, 7-6, 6-4 victory against 31st-ranked Neal Skupski from LSU. Last year Nott and Skupski met in a dual match between Arkansas and LSU, and Pulgar was the winner.

"Chris had a long, tough match but he looked great and I was very pleased," said head coach Robert Cox. "It was a big win for us and I look forward to the match tomorrow."

Nott will play Friday morning in the consolation bracket.

Along with the University of Arkansas, four other schools from the Florida are competing, including Miami, Florida State, South Florida and Florida Atlantic.
