FAYETTEVILLE – Chris Nott, the highest-ranked member of the Arkansas men’s tennis team, and Matt Hogan get their fall season underway this week at the Virginia 1-Plus-1 tournament in Charlottesville.
The individual draw tournament features 32 ranked players and 32 top unranked players in a 64-man draw for singles, and 32 doubles teams.
"Chris and Matt are our two seniors and this is a good tournament for them to get their senior years started," head coach Robert Cox says.
Nott is ranked No. 41 in the ITA singles rankings, and he and Hogan are ranked No. 37 in doubles.
Last year, Nott was 17-16 in singles and was a second-team All-Southeastern Conference selection. He ended the year ranked No. 65 and was an alternate for the NCAA individual singles championship.
