Nunn earns SEC Second-Team honor

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas senior Lucy Nunn was named to the Southeastern Conference Second-Team it was announced by the league office today. The honor is the first for Nunn as a Razorback. “Lucy came to the University of Arkansas because of our commitment to help her take her game to another level,” said Estes-Taylor. “She has been a sponge to our instruction and has used every day as an opportunity to learn and grow as a person and as a golfer. Her game has improved so much and it has been a pleasure to lead her through this progress. She has a tremendous work ethic and a desire to win every time we tee it up. My proudest moment was watching her get her first collegiate win at LSU this year. The maturity in her game is amazing and I look forward to her strong finish in our last two events. We will miss Lucy next year, but it will be fun to watch her test her game at the next level." Nunn has had a solid year and leads the team with a 73.72 stroke average – a career- low for her at this point of the year. She picked up her first SEC Women’s Golfer of the Week honor after getting the individual win at LSU. Nunn was tied with a pair of players and rallied to win a two-hole play-off for the outright crown. The Lawton, Okla., native is coming off her best finish at the SEC Championships where she tied for sixth overall after being in the hunt for the win for much of the tournament. Nunn and the Razorbacks await word Monday of their NCAA Regional selection. For more information about Arkansas women’s golf, log on to ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
