Nunn, Ingram through first round

DAYTONA, BEACH, Fla. – University of Arkansas women’s golf coach Shauna Estes-Taylor helped a pair of former Razorbacks through the first round of the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament in Daytona Beach, Fla., Wednesday.

Estes-Taylor is on the bag for Lucy Nunn, a Lawton, Okla., native, who came off the course tied for 77th overall. Nunn shot a three-over 75 with two birdies, three bogeys and a double. She is eight stroked behind leader and former Southeastern Conference star Reilley Rankin, Libby Smith and Aree Song who lead the 120-player field tied with a five-under 67.

Kristin Ingram faired a bit better and is in the clubhouse even with a 72. She had a birdie on the second hole and bogeyed No. 15 in a solid round.

Play continues through the weekend with the top players earning LPGA Tour Cards.
