Nunn Schulte take part in LPGA NW Arkansas Championship Qualifier

FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas golfers Lucy Nunn and Alex Schulte were selected to participate in Monday’s qualifier for the LPGA NW Arkansas Championship presented by John Q. Hammons at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark. The duo has a chance to qualify for one of the two remaining spots in the field of 144 joining Lady Razorback teammate Stacy Lewis who has a sponsor’s exemption for the event. “This is such a great opportunity for our players,” said Arkansas head coach Shauna Estes. “Lucy and Alex have a chance to play with some great players and an opportunity to move on to a premier LPGA event. The experience and playing under pressure are great learning tools no matter what the outcome.” Nunn has been a solid contributor for the Lady Razorbacks in both of her first two seasons. The Lawton, Okla., junior was Arkansas’ number two behind Lewis for much of the season and is expected to be a contributor for the Lady’Backs this season. Schulte, a sophomore for Arkansas this year, emerged on the scene and traveled to 10 events as a true freshman. She finished her freshman campaign third on the team in stroke average and was Arkansas’ leading player at the SEC Championship. Nunn and Schulte tee off at 1:00 p.m., at Pinnacle Country Club.
