Offensive Line Room Takes Center Stage Thursday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – “On the Air with Bret Bielema,” Coach Bielema’s weekly radio show presented by Lindsey and Westrock Coffee, returns Thursday night starting at 7 p.m. at the Catfish Hole in Fayetteville. This week’s show will feature first-year offensive line coach Kurt Anderson and senior offensive lineman Dan Skipper.

Chuck Barrett, the voice of the Razorbacks, will host head coach Bret Bielema while fans can make reservations to attend the show by calling the Catfish Hole at 479-521-7008. Tickets are $25 and include all you can eat dinner buffet with catfish, shrimp and chicken.

Anderson joined the Arkansas coaching staff after three years as an assistant offensive line coach for the Buffalo Bills. The Bills led the NFL in rushing in his final season and that trend has carried over to Arkansas where sophomore running back Rawleigh Williams leads the SEC with 785 yards on the ground. Skipper and teammate Frank Ragnow have both earned the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week award this season, making Arkansas the only program with two winners this season.

Skipper will make his 42^nd straight start along the offensive line on Saturday at Auburn. The Arvada, Colorado product is a two-time SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week during his career and this season earned the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week after his seventh career blocked field goal against Alcorn State. One of two returning SEC offensive lineman to being named All-SEC in by the league coaches and the Associated Press in 2015, Skipper and the rest of the offensive line have helped the Razorbacks accumulate at least 400 yards of offense in six straight games.
