OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. — The University of Arkansas men’s golf team will go from one difficult tournament to another as it prepares to play in the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational beginning on Sunday, September 30, at the Olympia Fields Country Club. The Razorbacks faced 13 ranked teams at the NCAA Preview last weekend and tee it up against six more this week. Along with the Razorbacks, No. 2 SMU, No. 4 Florida, No. 13 Northwestern, No. 18 Illinois, No. 19 Clemson and No. 25 Indiana make up the 14-team field. The South course at Olympia Fields challenges players at par 70 and 7,080 yards. Arkansas will have a slightly different lineup than it showed a week ago as Little Rock, Ark., native Joe Doramus joins the team for this weekend. Doramus replaces sophomore Thomas Sorensen who is on his way to Turkey to participate in the World Amateur Team Championships for Denmark. Doramus joins senior Austin Cook, junior Sebastian Cappelen and freshmen Nicolas Echavarria and Taylor Moore as the Razorbacks look to improve from their finish a week ago. Last season, playing at Olympia Fields North Course, Stanford won the team title with a three-day score of nine-over par. Patrick Rodgers of Stanford captured the individual title when he shot four-under par. The Razorbacks are scheduled to tee off from the 10th tee beginning at 9:40 a.m. with players from Northwestern and Florida State.
