#OmaHogs Send 10 Players to Summer Leagues

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas baseball program will have 10 players spread out across the country competing in five different leagues this summer.

Zach Jackson headlines the group, becoming the 13th member of the Arkansas baseball program to don the Red, White and Blue and joining a long list of Razorback legends to play for the USA Collegiate National Team. The sophomore reported to the USA Baseball training facility on June 18 and the squad will play its first international contest against the Holly Springs Salamanders of the Coastal Plain League on June 20 at the National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.

The California Collegiate League will be home to three Razorbacks this summer, as Chad Spanberger plays with the Conjeo Oaks, while Kyle Pate and Cannon Chadwick pitch for the San Luis Obispo Blues.

The Northwoods League will also get a trio of Arkansas players with Carson Shaddy playing for the St. Cloud Box, Alex Gosser playing with the Kalamazoo Growlers and Parker Sanburn heading to the Lakeshore Chinooks.

A pair of redshirts from last year in Ryan Fant and Darien Simms will be teammates in the Texas Collegiate League with the Victoria Generals, while Luke Bonfield travels to the Cape Cod League to play for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox.

Arkansas is coming off its eighth tripe to the College World Series and reached the 40-win mark for the sixth time in the last seven years. Stay tuned for updates on all 10 players throughout the summer.
