BIRMNGHAM, Ala. – The University of Arkansas women’s basketball team opens Southeastern Conference play on the road for the third consecutive season, the league office announced today.

Nine of Arkansas’ 16 league games are scheduled for television broadcasts highlighted by and ESPN2 game with South Carolina in February.

Arkansas faces five conference teams who played in the NCAA Tournament and one other who earned a trip to the WNIT last season. The 2017 SEC schedule features eight home contests with Mississippi State, LSU, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky and Auburn making trips to Bud Walton Arena this year.

For the second time in three seasons, Arkansas opens play at Ole Miss followed by a back-to-back, two-home, two-road rotation that includes Mississippi State and LSU at home, Texas A&M and Alabama on the road and Vanderbilt and Missouri at home as the first month of league play begins.

Arkansas sneaks in a single game at LSU and follows with home games against Georgia and South Carolina as February begins. Road games at Florida, Missouri, Tennessee and Vanderbilt book-end a single home contest with Kentucky in the middle of the month.

The conference schedule concludes with a home game against Auburn, the first time under head coach Jimmy Dykes the team has finished its league games in Bud Walton.
