Pacific's Widjaja is up first for Miseviciute

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 3 seed at NCAA Women’s Tennis Singles Championships, University of Arkansas senior Aurelija Miseviciute (38-4) will play Jenifer Widjaja (18-4) of Pacific in the first round of the tournament, the NCAA has announced.

This is Miseviciute’s second time advancing to the NCAA Championships. As a junior in 2008, she advanced to the semifinals of the singles tournament before falling to Baylor’s Zuzana Zemenova.

A two-time All-American and three-time All-Southeastern Conference honoree entering this year’s tournament, Miseviciute is currently ranked No. 2 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and is looking to add an NCAA singles championships to go with her two ITA National Indoor Championships.

A competitor with nothing to lose, Widjaja is a redshirt sophomore at Pacific and the first Tiger to qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship in over a decade.
