FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — University of Arkansas senior Keira Peak has been selected to play in the inaugural Arkansas Men’s and Women’s College Basketball All-Star Game it was announced recently. The event takes place in Hot Springs, Ark., at Summit Arena on Saturday. The women’s all-start game tips at 3:30 p.m. followed by the men’s game at 5 p.m. and finally a legends game of former players from all Arkansas colleges. This first-ever All-Star game, which is being hosted by Arkansas Alumni Classic Inc., will feature most of the top 20 male and female basketball seniors encompassing those colleges from the state of Arkansas. A three-point shooting contest and a slam dunk competition will follow the women’s game. During the event, the Arkansas College Men’s and Women’s Basketball Player of the Year Award recipients will be announced. Prices are $20, $15, and $10 for those who buy their tickets at Summit Arena and fans may also purchase online through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com. Peak, a senior from Clyatteville, Ga., played and started all 30 games for the Razorbacks as a senior. She scored in double figures in 17 contests and posted a season-best 20 points in 20 minutes at Kansas. Peak had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in a big road win at No. 19/18 LSU and recorded her 500th career rebound versus Southeast Missouri State in a win. Peak finished her career with 611 career rebounds ranking 16th all-time at Arkansas. She scored 963 career points to rank 27th for the Razorbacks.
