Pocklington Recognized by SEC for Good Works

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – For a second-consecutive year, Parker Pocklington represents the Razorbacks on the SEC Softball Community Service Team as announced by the league earlier this week. The Community Service Team highlights student-athletes from each school who give back in superior service efforts.

Pocklington participated in the Feed My Starving Children event in which she was joined by teammates and other Razorback student-athletes to pack meals for distribution to families in the Northwest Arkansas area and was involved with Arkansas’ Operation Baton Rouge that collected items for the flood victims in Louisiana. Pocklington was also active in Sweat Hawgs which promotes the importance of exercise and healthy eating habits in local elementary schools.

The Centralia, Wash., native serves as the Events Chair for Arkansas’ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for the 2016-17 academic season. In recognition of her dedication to community service and outreach programs, Pocklington was named an individual finalist for the Lee Spencer Cup honor at the 2017 HOGSPY Awards. She carries a 3.861 cumulative GPA and is set to graduate this weekend with a degree in communication and recreation & sport management.
