Postseason Honors Continue For Lady'Back Golf

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The honors continue for the 2007-08 University of Arkansas women’s golf team this week. Arkansas finished a program-best eight at last week’s NCAA Championships in a weather-impacted event. The conclusion of play was followed by the announcement of some of the season’s final awards. Senior Stacy Lewis was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District team as the championship got underway. She earned her fourth Duramed FUTURES Tour NGCA Division I all-America selection becoming the first Lady Razorback golfer honored in each season of her career. Lewis also earned her second consecutive selection as a Honda Sports Award nominee. The winner of the nationwide balloting will become a candidate for The Honda-Broderick Cup awarded to the collegiate woman athlete of the year. In addition to Lewis, sophomore Kristin Ingram earned her first-ever selection to the National Golf Coaches Association all-region team for her top 10 finish at the 2008 NCAA West Regional Championship in Sacramento, Calif.
