This is the 10th of 20 preseason features highlighting each student-athlete on the University of Arkansas volleyball team. Each day a different Razorback will draw and answer seven (out of a 15) get-to-know-you questions to give the fans a peek into their personality away from the volleyball court. The 2014 season begins Aug. 29 against Tennessee State at 7 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena. Click HERE to purchase season tickets.
Day 10 (Monday, August 18, 2014):
Sophomore | OH/MB | 6-1
Mobile, Ala. (McGill-Toolen HS)
Q: If this team was a band, would you be a singer, background dancer or playing an instrument?
Harbin: I’d probably be playing an instrument because I used to be in band. I played the trombone but there’s no guarantee that I’d be any good.
Q: Would you rather go to a movie OR dinner by yourself?
Harbin: Dinner because I could get it to-go and then go back home to watch a movie…by myself.
Q: If you could be on any reality TV show, what would it be?
Harbin: (after a quick stats discussion with teammate Chanell Clark-Bibbs) I’d want to be on Minute to Win It.
Q: What was your favorite sports team growing up?
Harbin: As far as pro teams go, I liked the Chicago Bulls and we were a (Philadelphia) Phillies family.
Q: What movie do you know every line of dialogue?
Harbin: Any Adam Sandler movie. I know Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, Eight Crazy Nights…any Adam Sandler movie.
Q: Other than volleyball, what sport would you want to compete in at the Olympics (summer or winter)?
Harbin: Probably basketball because I played for 10 years which is actually longer than I’ve played volleyball.
Q: What’s the funniest/most embarrassing thing to ever happen to you on a volleyball court?
Harbin: We were playing this spring and I was running on the court but someone yelled my name at the same time so I turned around real quick and there just happened to be a towel right there and I slipped on it and fell pretty hard.
