This is the 15th of 20 preseason features highlighting each student-athlete on the University of Arkansas volleyball team. Each day a different Razorback will draw and answer seven (out of a 15) get-to-know-you questions to give the fans a peek into their personality away from the volleyball court. The 2014 season begins Aug. 29 against Tennessee State at 7 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena. Click HERE to purchase season tickets.
Day 15 (Saturday, August 23, 2014):
Junior | L/DS | 5-9
St. Louis, Mo. (Rockwood Summit HS)
Q: What was your favorite sports team growing up?
Bollinger: The St. Louis Cardinals. That’s just the culture I grew up in with the Cardinal Nation. It’s a big thing.
Q: What is your favorite memory from Europe/this summer?
Bollinger: That’s easy. It was going to Croatia and hanging out with Barb’s family for a night. They made a lot of food and there was karaoke.
Q: If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you?
Bollinger: I would bring electricity somehow, an unlimited amount of food and a friend to keep me company.
Q: On a perfect day, what’s your ideal high and low temperature?
Bollinger: 70 degrees with an easy breeze the entire day.
Q: It’s match point, do you want to win with a monster kill or huge block?
Bollinger: Huge block. That’s always better.
Q: What’s the funniest/most embarrassing thing to happen to you on a volleyball court?
Bollinger: We were playing at Kentucky my freshman year and Jasmine (Norton) tripped me. I fell flat on my back. My friends from other SEC teams saw it on film and made fun of me.
Q: What was the last selfie you took?
Bollinger: I think it might have been Picture Day (last Sunday) but they may or may not be true.
