#ProHogs Enter Final Week Of Preseason

As the NFL preseason comes to an end, here are three ProHogs to watch in the final week of action:

Healthy Spaight Could Challenge Starters
After sitting out the first preseason game with a hamstring injury, Martrell Spaight has shined the last two weeks. Last week, Spaight was named defensive player of the game, after helping hold the Bengals to just one second-half field goal in Washington’s 23-17 win over Cincinnati. If Spaight stays healthy, coaches believe he could challenge for a starting spot.

Allen’s Turn At Quarterback
Though Blake Bortles has already been named the week one starter, quarterback Brandon Allen still has a lot to fight for Thursday night, when the Jaguars face the Atlanta Falcons. Allen is expected to take a majority of the snaps in the final preseason game, one he is treating “like a regular season game.”

Gragg Getting Solid Playing Time
After being picked up by the Jets in late July, tight end Chris Gragg saw time in the first two preseason games but received zero targets. That changed in week three. Of the six receptions by a Jets’ tight end, five were by Gragg for 38 yards. Gragg played a majority of the offensive snaps, tying quarterback Christian Hackenberg and wide receiver ArDarius Stewart for the team-lead with 40 snaps played.
