#ProHogs: Keuchel Dominates In Record-Setting Performance

The Houston Astros ace is at it again. Dallas Keuchel dominated the Texas Rangers and led the Astros to a critical series win as the playoff race comes down the final stretch.

Keuchel struck out 10 and allowed just two hits in seven innings of work. He retired 15 consecutive batters en route to setting an MLB record with a 15-0 record at his home ballpark. His performance also set a team record for most strikeouts by a left-handed pitcher.

The Astros now trail the Rangers by 2 1/2 games in the AL West and hold a 1/2 game lead over the Los Angeles Angels in the race for the final wild card spot with one week remaining in the regular season.

An AL Cy Young Award candidate, Keuchel is now 18-8 with a 2.51 ERA in 31 starts this season. He has struck out 203 hitters in 219.0 innings pitched.

Keuchel is expected to make his last regular season start next week at Arizona.
