#ProHogs Preview: Week 10

Below are three NFL games to watch in week 10 of the NFL season, featuring #ProHogs.

Minnesota Vikings at Washington Redskins | Sunday, Nov. 12 | 12:00 PM | FOX
The Vikings/Redskins matchup is the first of two games Sunday that feature three active #ProHogs. The Redskins’ Martrell Spaight ranks fourth on the team in total tackles with 29, including a team-high six on special teams.

Vikings’ Jarius Wright has seven receptions this season for 93 yards and a touchdown. Wright ranks second among Viking receivers with a 13.3 yards per catch average.

With the absence of Jordan Reed and Niles Paul last week, Redskins’ tight end Jeremy Sprinkle played a season-high 24 snaps on offense behind veteran Vernon Davis. As of Wednesday, all three of the other tight ends were questionable for this weekend’s game, opening up a chance for Sprinkle to see his playing time expanded once more.

Los Angeles Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars | Sunday, Nov. 12 | 12:00 PM | CBS
Two #ProHogs will be in action as Hunter Henry and Darius Philon will travel to Jacksonville.

The Chargers are rested up coming off a bye but face the best passing defense in the league in the Jaguars. This season Jacksonville is averaging just 156.4 yards given up through the air and has given up just 34 receptions for 357 yards and two touchdowns to tight ends.

After 11 total tackles in 14 games last season, Darius Philon already has 17 this season in eight games. He also has a 3.0 sacks this season, the most in a single season during his career. He also has 5.0 tackles for loss, four quarterback hits and one pass deflection.

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos | Sunday, Nov. 12 | 7:30 PM | NBC
The Sunday night showdown between the Patriots and Broncos should be battle, as the Patriots travel to Mile High following their bye week. It is the second of two games featuring three active #ProHogs. New England features two defensive #ProHogs, while Denver possesses a former offensive star. Trey Flowers and Deatrich Wise are tasked with stopping Denver’s offense and #ProHog tight end A.J. Derby.

Derby ranks tied for T-15th among tight ends with two touchdowns, 24th with 222 yards and T-26th with 18 receptions.

Flowers ranks as one of the top defensive linemen in the league, ranking sixth in total tackles (37), including a team-high 3.5 sacks. Wise follows with 3.0 sacks and ties Flowers for a team-high 13 quarterback hits.

Hogs On A Bye
Active #ProHogs with a week off include Baltimore’s Ryan Mallett and Alex Collins.
