#ProHogs Report: Week 3

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Three of Arkansas’ top offensive weapons from 2015 saw increased playing time during Week 3 of the NFL. Tight end Hunter Henry and the running back duo of Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams all saw more snaps this week for their respective teams with Henry leading the way with the San Diego Chargers.

Henry was San Diego’s primary tight end against the Colts on Sunday, playing all 60 of the offensive snaps and five on special teams. One week after making his first career NFL start, Henry hauled in five catches for 76 yards, including a 33-yard play in the second quarter. This year, Henry has caught six passes for 96 yards, good for 20th among all tight ends in the NFL and second among all rookie tight ends.

Alex Collins added four carries and two catches for 31 yards of total offense for the Seattle Seahawks, while Williams saw his first action since the preseason for the Buffalo Bills. Collins doubled his carries from Week 2 to Week 3 and caught his first pass of the regular season on a 9-yard throw from quarterback Russell Wilson. All three of Williams’ carries came in the final minutes of Buffalo’s win over Arizona.

Here are some highlights of how the other former Hogs did during Week 3:

Bailey Makes First Start For Browns
Fourth-year pro Alvin Bailey made his first start at tackle for the Cleveland Browns Sunday at Miami. Bailey, who spent three years in Seattle after being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2013, signed with the Browns prior to this season. With his teammate Cameron Erving suffering an injury, Bailey was called on to fill the right guard spot left by John Greco, who will move to center.

Bailey was used sparingly through the first two weeks of the season, but fit in nicely on Sunday, playing all 82 snaps on offense and seven on special teams.

Flowers Continues Strong Play For Patriots
Thursday night against Houston, Flowers turned in another solid four-tackle performance, including three solo stops, with one quarterback hurry. The Patriot defense shutout the Texans for the 27-0 victory and Flowers has been a big part of the defensive line that has held opponents to just 90.3 yards rushing per game.

Gates Provides Strong Words To Hunter Henry
Hunter Henry’s fumble as the Chargers attempted a game-winning drive against the Colts wasn’t the highlight of Henry’s day Sunday, but future hall of famer Antonio Gates provided some encouraging words to Henry as they walked to the locker room.

“I’ve learned over time to see light into things that happen like that,” Gates gold Chargers.com. “I told him my story about how when I was a rookie, we were in Jacksonville and I was going in to score and I fumbled. We lost the game.  I told him how I went 10 years after that before I fumbled again.  I learned from that. The morale of the story I told him is this will strengthen you at the end of the day.”
