#ProHogs | Six Razorbacks on NBA Preseason Rosters

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – With the 2015-16 NBA season rapidly approaching, Arkansas has six players on preseason rosters, including a pair of #ProHogs entering the league after stints overseas.

The NBA season officially starts on Oct. 27 with three games on opening night, before a full slate of games is scheduled for Oct. 28.

Joe Johnson – Brooklyn Nets – 15th season (@TheJoeJohnson7)
• One of only two players (LeBron James) to score 1,000+ points in each of the last 12 seasons.
• One of only three players (Jamal Crawford and Paul Pierce) to hit 80-plus three-pointers in each of the last 12 seasons.
• Most games played in NBA (1,062) by any former Razorback history in program history.
• Has 18,326 career points, which currently ranks 63rd in NBA history.

Patrick Beverley – Houston Rockets – fourth season (@patbev21)
• Started 55 games last season and averaged 10 points for the second consecutive year.
• Beverley returns from injury to join newly-acquired Ty Lawson in the Houston backcourt.
• Tied career high with 20 points in 95-92 win over Dallas on Nov. 11, 2014.

Sonny Weems – Phoenix Suns – fourth season (@SonnyWeems13)
• Returns to the NBA after four seasons overseas.
• Has scored 1,082 points in 128 career games with the Denver Nuggets and Toronto Raptors.
• Has spent the last four years in Europe, playing one with Zalgiris and three with CSKA Moscow.
• Averaged 13.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 98 games played overseas.

Bobby Portis – Chicago Bulls – first season (@BPortistime)
• Selected No. 22 overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2015 NBA Draft.
• Averaged 14.5 points and 8.7 rebounds during NBA Summer League play.
• Was named the 2015 SEC Player of the Year, All-America second team.
• Averaged 17.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.4 blocks as a junior at Arkansas.

Michael Qualls – Oklahoma City Thunder – first season (@Mr_WALKONAIR)
• Signed by Oklahoma City as a free agent following the 2015 NBA Draft.
• Averaged 15.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 36 games as a junior.
• Became known as #MrSCTop10 after making 13 career appearances on the countdown.
• Threw down 38 dunks last season, ending his three-year Arkansas career with 91 slams.

Coty Clarke – Boston Celtics – first season (@C_Wop4)
• After graduating in 2014, he spent the 2014-15 season playing for Hapoel Kazrin in Israel.
• Averaged 19.4 points and 9.4 rebounds per game playing overseas.
• Averaged 8.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 steals in 65 games at Arkansas.
• Posted 26 double-figure scoring games and seven double-figure rebounding games in college.
