#ProHogs Week 14 Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The NFL season continues to wind down with the Week 14 slate of games this week starting with the stellar Thursday night matchup between the Oakland Raiders (10-2) and Kansas City Chiefs (9-3). Two former Razorbacks will be fighting the elements tonight in Kansas City, kickoff temperature is expected to be in the mid-20s, as Denver Kirkland suits up for the Raiders and Knile Davis for the Chiefs.

Both the Raiders and Chiefs are expected to make the playoffs at the end of the regular-season, tonight’s game still has playoff seeding implications and could help determine the AFC West champion.

Kirkland has emerged as a strong player on the offensive line for the Raiders since being promoted from the practice squad back in Week 4. The former Razorback lineman was signed as an undrafted free agent back in the spring and has provided some size on the line for the Raider offense that ranks seventh in the league in rushing with 114.6 yards per game.

Kirkland has been utilized multiple times as an extra lineman in the tight end’s spot for Oakland’s jumbo tight end package. The Miami, Florida native has made four starts in his unique role, but was left on the inactive list last week against Buffalo.

Oakland and Kansas City kick off Thursday night at 7:25 p.m. inside Arrowhead Stadium and will be televised on the NBC-NFL Network and on Twitter.

Peters Continues Strong Play For Eagles
After a strong 5-0 start to the season, many thought the Philadelphia Eagles (5-7) were a team to watch come playoff time. Fast forward to Week 14, the Eagles have struggled mightily to even come out on the winning side of a game as they are in the midst of a nine-game losing streak heading into their matchup against the Washington Redskins (6-5-1) this Sunday.

With the struggles of the Eagles’ offense, tackle Jason Peters has continued to be a bright spot and it showed last week against the Cincinnati Bengals. Peters only allowed three hurries on 63 pass-blocking snaps and earned a 81.5 grade from Pro Football Focus.

The Eagles are a long shot to make the playoffs, but Peters has continued to show his leadership as he finishes up his 13th year in the league.

“It’s very frustrating, but one thing you’re going to get out of me, I’m going to come to work and every Sunday,” Peters said. “I’m going to fight until the end of the game. There’s not going to be any quit in me.”

The Eagles and Redskins kick off at Noon on Sunday and fans can catch the game on FOX.

#ProHog to Watch In Week 14

A.J. Derby – TE Denver Broncos
Tight end A.J. Derby wasn’t able to follow up his career performance from Week 12 to Week 13, but that didn’t mean he didn’t make an impact. Derby was only targeted once in the Broncos’ 20-10 victory over Jacksonville, but he made that catch for a three-yard gain. Derby has seven catches over his last three games for 68 yards and has molded nicely into the primary tight end role for Denver.

Derby has caught seven of his nine targets this year and has caught four for first downs. He’ll look to continue to improve this week when the Broncos (8-4) travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans (6-6) and help them win their fourth in their last five games. Kickoff is scheduled for Noon and will be televised on CBS.
