San Diego Chargers

#ProHogs Week 4 Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Divisional races are starting to take shape as Week 4 of the NFL gets underway Thursday night. The Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals will kick-start the fourth week of the season with the Thursday night matchup, but the first former Razorback won’t be in action until early Sunday morning.

At 8:30 a.m. CT Sunday, fans can wake up to the Indianapolis Colts (1-2) taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3) inside the famous Wembley Stadium in London, England. It’s the first of three NFL games that will take place in England this year and the fourth year in a row that Jacksonville has played a game overseas.

Former Hog quarterback Brandon Allen and defensive end Chris Smith are still looking to make their season debuts after being listed as inactive for the first three weeks for the Jaguars.

Allen is just one year removed from setting the Arkansas school record for career touchdown passes (65), completed 17 passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns in the preseason for the Jaguars. Smith is in his third year with Jacksonville and had 10 tackles and 1.0 sack during the preseason.

#ProHogs To Watch In Week 4

Hunter Henry – TE San Diego Chargers
Henry had his best game of the year last week after getting the starting nod at tight end for the second straight week. Henry hauled in five catches for 76 yards, including a season-long 33-yard catch in the second quarter against the Colts. Even though a fumble on the Chargers final drive put a damper on what was a good day for Henry, the rookie is still making big strides with Antonio Gates out with an injury. That production should continue Sunday when the Chargers (1-2) host the New Orleans Saints (0-3) at 3:25 p.m. on FOX.

Trey Flowers – DE New England Patriots
Another former Hog that is coming off his best game, Trey Flowers will look to carry over the four tackle performance he had last week into a matchup at home against the Buffalo Bills (1-2). Last week against Houston, Flowers turned in what was a career day with three solo tackles and has been one of the many reasons why the Patriots (3-0) have held its opponents to just 90.3 yards rushing per game. Flowers is still listed as the second-string defensive end on both sides of the line, but has seen his snap count rise each week.

Alex Collins – RB Seattle Seahawks
Listed as the second-string running back for the Seattle Seahawks, rookie Alex Collins showed some bursts last week in Seattle’s win over San Francisco and was on the field for a season-high 18 snaps on offense. Collins carried the ball four times for 12 yards and caught two passes for 19 yards, two of those runs gaining first downs. Collins and the Seahawks go for their third win of the year when they take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium at Noon on Sunday.

Kirkland Signs To Active Roster With Raiders
Signed as an undrafted free agent in May, Kirkland was with the Oakland Raiders through preseason training camp and then signed to the practice squad prior to the regular season. Kirkland becomes the 19th active Razorback on an NFL roster this year and the sixth from last year’s class. Kirkland played three years at Arkansas, appearing in 38 games with 34 starts at guard and tackle. He was named All-SEC as a junior in 2014. The Raiders play at Baltimore on Sunday at 1 p.m. on CBS.
