Promotions Set for Pink Match vs. Ole Miss

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Promotions have been set for the Razorbacks’ annual Pink Match which will be held this Sunday, Oct. 18, at Barnhill Arena against Ole Miss. First serve of the SEC matchup is scheduled for 4 p.m. (CT). Individual match tickets are $5 at the Barnhill Arena ticket window while UA students and fans 17 years and younger receive free admission.

Sunday, Oct. 18 vs. Ole Miss – 4 p.m.
• All fans encouraged to wear pink
• Post-match autographs with the Razorbacks
• First 500 fans receive a pink pom-pom
• Breast cancer survivors will be recognized at halftime
• Susan G. Komen Ozark will be in attendance providing awareness information and promotional iteams
• Complimentary admission for University of Arkansas faculty and staff with valid UA ID

Having played seven of their past eight matches away from Barnhill Arena, the Razorbacks are back on their home floor for the first time since the team’s Oct. 4 five-set win over then-No. 9 Florida. Through the first seven weeks of the 2015 season, Arkansas carries a 13-4 overall record with a 3-2 mark in SEC play. The Razorbacks have played well in front of their home fans, winning six of seven matches played at Barnhill Arena this season.

Individually, Arkansas is represented in this week’s NCAA statistical rankings by its offensive leaders, paced by Pilar Victoria who is up to 10th in the national with 4.59 kills per set. The Caguas, Puerto Rico, native is also 12th in the NCAA with 5.11 points per set. She leads the SEC in both categories. Chanell Clark-Bibbs is ranked 42nd in the NCAA with her .389 hitting percentage while Adrien Wohlschlaeger is 39th among the nation’s setters with 10.94 assists per set.

Continuing its run as a top-30 team in the nation, the Razorbacks are receiving votes in this week’s AVCA national rankings. Arkansas has been mentioned in the coaches’ poll for the past four weeks, first appearing in the Sept. 21 release after wins over Kansas State and Wisconsin in the non-conference finale.
