FAYETTEVILLE – Following two straight weeks on the road, Arkansas’ seventh-ranked gymnastics team is back home in Barnhill Arena this week and promotions are set for Friday’s 7 p.m. top 10 matchup with No. 9 Nebraska.
Due to construction around Barnhill Arena, parking is available in the following areas – Lot 44, immediately north of the Broyles Athletic Center, Lot 73 at the corner of Razorback Road and Markham and the Stadium Drive parking garage. For fans parking in Lot 73, access to Barnhill Arena is through Gate 1 of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Also as a reminder, will call is at the south side entrance of Barnhill.
Cox is the meet sponsor for Friday and pens will be given away to fans entering the arena. It’s also Uniform Service Night. Military, police, firefighter and EMS personnel will be admitted for $2 if wearing their uniform or by showing proper identification at the doors.
In addition, there will be the Jason’s Deli Ticket Drawing for one UA student to win an iPad2. Academy "10" cards will be placed throughout the arena, t-shirts will be thrown into the stands each time a Razorback scores a 9.80 or better and there will be a drawing for the Louie’s Luck Seat.
The Razorbacks are led by senior All-American Jaime Pisani, who is ranked No. 1 in the nation on floor for the fourth straight week. Sophomore All-American Katherine Grable is No. 4 in the country on vault and No. 5 on beam. Arkansas also features three of the top all-arounders in the country in Grable, ranked sixth, Pisani, ranked 10th, and junior Jordan Salsberg, who is No. 34.
Friday’s meet is the fourth straight top 10 matchup for the Razorbacks, following meets against No. 5 Oklahoma, at No. 6 Georgia and at No. 6 Alabama.
