Pulliza with Puerto Rico Junior National Team

FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas head coach Robert Pulliza will travel to Lima, Peru, with the Puerto Rico Women’s Junior National Volleyball Team in the role of assistant coach. The Puerto Rico team begins play Thursday and is set to play against teams from the Dominican Republic, Chile and Peru.

"This is a great opportunity for me as a coach to represent Puerto Rico and the Razorbacks all at once," Pulliza said. "I look forward to sharing this experience with my (Arkansas) coaching staff and players and all of the Razorback fans."

Having just completed his second year at the helm of the Razorback volleyball program, Pulliza remains active in the international coaching community. In addition to his duties as an assistant coach, the San Juan, Puerto Rico, native serves as a consultant to the Puerto Rico Junior National program. Pulliza also spent three years as an assistant coach with the US Girls Youth National Team (2000 and 2001) and US National A2 Team (2003).
