Quality Play Continues On Day 2

MIDLAND, Texas — The Arkansas women’s tennis team continued its quality play Saturday at the Midland Invitational held at The Racquet Club of Midland.

Razorbacks Natsuho Arakawa, Agne Cepelyte, Jackie Carr and Tatum Rice showcased their depth for the second straight day, combining for seven victories in singles and doubles action.

Most notably, Arakawa and Cepelyte went 2-0 in doubles on the day to advance to Sunday’s semifinals.

“This was another step forward for us today with excellent performances across the board,” head coach Michael Hegarty said. “All four players have made a positive start to their individual seasons, which is exciting for us all.”
