Razorback Golf Travels to Texas

    FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas men’s golf team will be in Dallas, Texas, at the 1999 Big “E” Stonebridge Classic Sept. 20-21.
    This is the second tournament for the Hogs this fall season. They placed 12th in the Cleveland/Kiawah Classic on Monday. In the 19-team tournament, the Hogs shot a 595 (+19) with     Razorback Craig Lile firing a 2-under-par 142 to tie for 11th place.
    The Big “E” will be a 54-hole tournament format with 36 holes being played on Monday, and the final 18 on Tuesday.
    The Razorbacks will travel the same five players that competed in the Kiawah Classic — Craig Lile, Phil Walker, Jay Houk, Stephen Phaup and Ryan Blagg..
    Other teams participating are Arkansas-Little Rock, North Texas, Texas-Arlington, Stephen F. Austin, Texas Tech, Kent, Tulsa, Baylor, Rice, Sam Houston State, Texas-San Antonio, Louisiana-Lafayette, Texas A&M, SMU and the SMU junior varsity.
    Next for Arkansas is the Lexus Invitational, Oct. 14-16, in Fresno, Calif.
