Razorback Golfers Finish 8th at Morris William

AUSTIN, Texas. – Arkansas men’s golf team shot a final-round 296 on Tuesday at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate at the Austin Golf and Country Club to finish eighth with a three-round total of 907.
SEC foe Florida won the event with an eight-over-par score of 872 with top-ranked Oklahoma State finishing second with a score of 882. Tulsa finished third (886) and host school Texas was fourth at 890.
The Razorbacks’ eight-over-par 296 in the final round followed rounds of 296 and 315 on the first day of the event.
Sophomore Beau Glover led the Arkansas contingent with a three-round total of 224 (eight-over) to finish in a tie for 19th place. Glover shot a four-over par 76 in the final round after shooting a career-best 69 in the first round and a 79 in the second round.
Scotty Campbell also shot a 224 to finish in a tie for 19th. Campbell posted a three-under-par 69 in the final round after rounds of 73 and 82 on the first day.
Freshman Eric Shriver turned in a solid round of even-par 72 on Tuesday for a tournament total of 231 (15-over par).
Matt Bortis, fresh of the first tournament win of his career last week at the NIT Invitational, finished with a 17-over 233 after a 10-over-par round of 82 on Tuesday.
Barrett Lais shot a 79 in the final round for a tournament total 247.
Arkansas next travels to the SEC Tournament in Sea Island, Ga., on April 15-17.
