Razorback Greats Ready For GameDay

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Former Razorback football greats Ken Hamlin and Felix Jones will join host Alex Perlman for ARKANSAS GAMEDAY on Cox Sports Television (CST) prior to each Razorback football game this season. The 30-minute pre-game show returns for its second season, but for the first time will originate from the site of each week’s Razorback game.

ARKANSAS GAMEDAY will air live from 10:30 – 11 a.m. on CST to get fans ready every Razorback game day this season.

Hamlin was a defensive back for the Razorbacks from 2000-02, earning All-America honors in 2002. He still ranks third on the UA career tackle list with 381 stops in his Razorback career. Hamlin was drafted in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks and was selected to the Pro Bowl as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

Jones was part of the most potent offensive backfield in school history from 2005-07 playing alongside Darren McFadden and Peyton Hillis. Jones was a two-time All-American (2005 and 2007) and remains among school record holders ranking sixth in career rushing yards (2,956), third in career all-purpose yardage (5,099) and second in career kickoff return yardage (1,749). Jones was a former first round pick by the Cowboys and also played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition, CST has also increased the coverage of the Razorbacks by adding a number of original shows to the network’s lineup. ON THE AIR WITH BRET BIELEMA, airing on Fridays throughout the season, allows fans to get all the behind-the-scenes information from the football head coach.

This weekend will also be a huge one for the Hogs on CST, as the network will air two live volleyball matches and a live soccer match. The Razorback volleyball team will face Maryland (10 a.m.) and Chicago State (5 p.m.) on Friday, while the soccer team will take on George Washington Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

Other Arkansas-themed events on CST include HOG TALES (monthly), THE BRET BIELEMA SHOW (Wednesdays) and the final 2016 RAZORBACKS TRAINING CAMP SHOW this Friday.

The network agreement with Arkansas will allow CST to broadcast selected baseball, softball, women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, track and field and gymnastics events.
